Memory
Memory
Description: A memorial is a place where memories come alive. This monument, as a family grave, is excessively emotional, and the word “monument” fits its purpose perfectly. The design is based on two elements.
- The pilgrim's experience
- The heavenly character of the monument.
These two guidelines are translated into the space through the careful use of light, the correct use of materials, and the use of volume. The two sides of the memorial are divided into a natural and a heavenly space. The natural space is built with natural and perishable materials such as metal and wood. Light is abundant in this part of the memorial, while the materials in the heavenly space are made of marble and bronze, which are imperishable. It is a memorial that respects the pilgrim and offers them the space and warmth they seek to be close to those they miss.
